Shekinah was born in 1995 in the heart of a group of people who felt and saw the need to work hard for the well-being of children and adolescents in high-risk situations, caused by abandonment, abuse, and/or neglect.

Shekinah works for the well-being of boys, girls, and adolescents in high-risk situations, caused by abandonment, abuse, and/or neglect- with a focus on restoring their violated rights.

This project is run by 501(c)3 nonprofit EcuaStory Foundation and local NGO Fundacion Submarino Amarillo. The Yellow Submarine is a children's library in Manta which offers free English classes, intercultural exchange, and educational programs for children and teens.

Fundacion PlanTea manages a multidisciplinary approach for children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), based on a globalized method where the child configures his or her learning style through cognitive behavioral development under a rehabilitative neurodevelopment scheme taking into account curricular adaptations, sensory processing, integration and inclusion.

Their Vision -"We want a more just, free, equitable and supportive society, with active subjects, who propose their own changes, who respect, demand, and care for the common home to live with dignity and in testimony of hope".
